Michael J. Brown, Partner
Mike is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Pelican Holdings, LLC. He has over ten years of experience in real estate development, construction and operations management. Prior to founding Pelican, Mike worked in acquisitions at The Ratkovich Company in Los Angeles, where he performed valuation, due-diligence, pre-development and asset-management functions on mixed-use redevelopment projects from $10MM to $400MM in size. Prior to Ratkovich he managed excavation and site work operations for G.E. Johnson Construction Company, the largest general contractor in Colorado. Mike is an active member of the Urban Land Institute’s Los Angeles chapter, where he co-chairs the YLG Communications Committee. He is the CFO of Oceans Healing Group, a nonprofit which does adaptive watersports with paraplegic children. Mike holds a B.A. in English from The Colorado College, and an M.B.A. in Real Estate from UCLA Anderson, with a certificate in sustainability.
Casey Lynch, Partner
Casey is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Pelican Holdings, LLC. He has an extensive background in finance and management consulting. Prior to founding Pelican, Casey worked in business development with Auberge Resorts in San Francisco where he helped develop the company's portfolio of owned and managed hotels and resorts. Prior to Auberge, Casey served as a senior consultant with Millward Brown Optimor, the branding and corporate strategy arm of the WPP Group. Casey began his career as an investment banking analyst in the M&A group of Libra Securities in New York. He is a member of ULI-Los Angeles, and an active volunteer with KIPP schools in Los Angeles. Casey holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from The University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. in Real Estate and Finance from UCLA Anderson.
